The feed dog (244111) is the highest-wear part on the NP-7A. In high-volume FIBC operations, worn feed dogs cause irregular stitch tension and bag failures at the closing line. Set a calendar-based replacement schedule regardless of visible wear.

Looper (243102), Looper Rocker (243092), and Looper Rocker Shaft (243032) are the most common cause of skipped stitches and chain breaks. Inspect all three as a set — they wear in tandem. Replace all three simultaneously when replacing any one.

Thread Tension Ass'y (245081 C) drift is the leading cause of stitch defects that pass undetected at the closing station. A weekly tension check prevents bag failures downstream and reduces thread waste on high-speed lines.

The Timing Belt (F01001) rarely shows visible wear before failure. A broken timing belt stops the machine completely — replace on a fixed schedule before failure. Keep one spare belt on-site at all times. Synchro Pulley (241092) should be inspected at the same interval.

Universal Motor SM73BP-110 (C01030) is robust but heat-sensitive. Ensure adequate airflow at the motor housing during extended operation. Replace when output speed drops noticeably — do not run a degraded motor as it accelerates wear on the belt and pulley system.

For continuous FIBC operations, maintain a minimum on-site stock: 3× Feed Dog, 3× Looper set, 2× Thread Tension Ass'y, 1× Timing Belt, 1× Presser Foot Assembly. Downtime cost on a bag-closing line far exceeds the cost of stocked spare parts.
